Sit with Snit: Sitting With Your Mind & Body

This week on the Sit With Snit podcast, we will be hearing from a dear friend and mentor of mine, Rebecca Marcus. As an esteemed Licensed Clinical Social Worker, having received her master's degree from New York University Silver School of Social Work focusing on clinical practice and trauma, Rebecca is an expert in her field and a lifelong learner. I always turn to Rebecca whenever I feel frustrated with my own mindfulness practices; I turn to Rebecca to bring in a voice of acceptance, clarity, and compassion. We conveyed the notion that meditation is a practice that involves no judgment and being present. Dan Harris, the author of 10% Happier, writes that “meditation is not about feeling a certain way. It’s about feeling the way you feel.” Rebecca helps us understand this phenomenon while simultaneously sharing tools to ground ourselves in our minds and body, tuning into the present moment. Sit with us and stay tuned as Rebecca leads us in short and worthwhile mindfulness practice.
